Everyone is interested in saving a few bucks. By building a monolithic dome you will save on heat and air conditioning bills. The dome is one of the most energy efficient buildings there are. Some people would say they are not pretty but, hey, if they can save you money on your monthly bills why not give it some consideration. The domes are easy to cool in the summer and heat in the winter.

There are hundreds of architectural patterns for designing your building whether it be a home or a commercial building. They are unique in that they are built in three layers. The shell consists of a PVC air form on the exterior, polyurethane foam insulation in the middle with rebar tied every 12 inches, then a layer of shot Crete on the interior. The domes can be built any size from 20 ft in diameter up to 1,000 feet in diameter. The shell will be around for hundreds of years and there are no load bearing walls inside so you can remodel whenever you desire.

Domes are able to withstand tornadoes, hurricanes, and fires and will be termite free. If a disaster should hit there will not be much damage. They can be built round to the ground or on stem walls. Many prefer the stem walls, if building a home, as it gives some flat walls for furniture placement and window installation.
