Swanson Update
We were able to finish up the garage just before the big snow storm of December 8, 2009 hit. Building of domes requires good weather and unfortunately the winter weather was not cooperative. We looked forward to spring and spring came along with rain, rain and more rain. In mid June we were finally able to get the foundation for the house in and will plan to have the floor of the house poured by July 15th. (Continued…)
The Swanson Project
We will try to document the construction of the Swanson Project as construction proceeds. At this time of year weather presents a problem. Between rain and cold tempertures we are trying to complete the garage before winter and finish the project next spring. We will be updating this document as work is completed. (Continued…)

Living in a dome is quite a unique experience. The Boyt home is the Orion style and is only one of many, many styles of dome homes. We chose the Orion because it gives you some flat walls that allow for a better placement of furniture. (Continued…)
